Breaking with our established forms for this report to basically say that this will most likely be the best domestic Malbec we try as a collective in 2023. At least, it will get one vote of the three. Best off? It's nearly local (at least to me it is.)
Expensive, yes. But it's not like we're going to be getting our hands on any Devil Proof, Daou, or Mt. Brave any time soon. This has everything you should want in a Malbec: richness, complexity, heft, and balance between earth, spice and fruit.
That's basically the review. For a United States Malbec, this is cracking stuff.
