Review: 2021 Infinite Monkey Theorem Malbec

Finally. The name was a new one to us, but glad it crossed our paths. It makes sense to have a proper Malbec being made in Colorado: the altitude, soil, and bears a faint resemblance to Argentina. And the company seems to have the marketing down solid. This was presented at a recent gathering, right before COVID spiked in our area again, and was paired with some outstanding steak tacos.

Surprisingly dense with fig and chocolate notes dominant, but with time and air rewards with notes of black cherry, strawberry and the slightest touch of minerality showing through. The finish is quite earthy but adds balance to the cherry and chocolate which lingers towards the finish. I wish this was distributed widely with greater accessibility. One worth seeking out and a winery worth supporting.
