Review: 2019 Abacela Malbec

Unintentional Domestic Malbec Review Week continues with a bottle via Abacela in Oregon's Umpqua Valley.

An ample balance of blackberry notes and a reasonably structured palate of chocolate, blueberry, and some nutmeg and lavender with time in the glass. For all of its promise, it fails to develop any further, and the tannins bring forth a rather abrupt finish.  At $32 per bottle, this feels a bit steep on the value curve, especially when others on the market provide a richer experience.
