Somewhat sour on approach, with dominating notes of sour cherry, black plum, and a mild touch of tobacco leaf. A little bit of time in the glass calms things down and the earthier elements of pepper, spice, and tobacco leaf drive things through to a finish heavy on clove and oak. It's pretty straightforward and could benefit with a year or two more on the shelf.
