Trivento can get overlooked in the pile of amazing Malbecs.
And sometimes there’s the whole stigma of “if it’s a value buy, it can’t be
worth it” that, whether or right or wrong, can bring down a reputation. This is
no exception. Gentle and somewhat unassuming with soft plums and a sweet
vanilla bean nose and wonderful raspberry on the palate. A quite savory finish
that’s dry but lengthy that goes from sweet to spicy, and some beautiful notes
of pepper lingering about. There may be a few bottles left hanging around on
the shelves. Locating them is well worth the attempt.
