Philip Jeck is a master musician who takes discarded elements, afterthoughts
and materials and fashions them into something new and amazing for the listener
to experience. That’s not what’s happening here, because there are no
throwaways. However, there are intense notes of cassis, violets and blueberry
that don’t make a lick of sense together at first approach. But given a bit of
patience and time the elements fuse together into a wonderfully firm finish
that’s vibrant and full of flavor. Apologies for the unintended alliteration.
