Review: 2018 Kaiken Ultra Malbec

2018 Kaiken Ultra Malbec
Ultramagnetic MCs was one of the most important groups to my impressionable young ears. So anything boasting Ultra better be bringing a tight game to the court, or there’s a risk of being laughed off. I’ve been to Rucker Park and have seen the worst ballers of my generation destroyed by hecklers. After tasting the non-Ultra expression a few nights ago, I braced myself through meditation and prayer to my spiritual advisor to be ready for this bountiful blessing.

Loads of dark notes with a nose that is heavy on blackberry and freshly roasted Catuaí and Catimor coffee beans. More blackberry and plum on the palate that makes way for floral and herbaceous notes towards the finish.

A steady value at a low price point. It could probably sit for a year or two and prove equally delightful.
