Review: 2018 Cèdre Héritage Malbec

2018 Cèdre Héritage Malbec
We’re big fans of DJ sets around these parts. Especially ones from France. Especially super eclectic sets from Alexis Le-Tan and Vidal Benjamin, whose early mixes got a few fellows in the editorial clan through late night graduate school study sessions. So for our first French consideration straight outta Cahors, we cranked the latest episode of our man Alexis’ show on LYL radio. Full marks if you’re an open-minded fan of electronic music. The man paints a canvas like few others.

Onwards: the nose caught me off guard for a moment, heavy on tobacco and leather with a tinge of smoke, but the dark jam and black licorice on the palate and forest floor on the finish give this a most welcome autumnal selection. A beautiful bottle well in form with others Cahorsian offerings.
