Review: 2017 Gimenez Mendez Alta Reserva Malbec

2017 Gimenez Mendez Alta Reserva Malbec
And here we thought Cavani was the only export worth noticing.

Aromas of leather lead on first approach, followed by oak and a faint trace of fresh ground coffee. The palate features a fantastic balance between dark fruits and herbaceous notes that bring complexity without fuzziness or confusion.

A tad high in acidity and needs mild aeration, at least half an hour. Nice work if you can get it.
